We were blessed, once again, to celebrate the evening with dear friends. We were together last year, and I hope for many more!
Most of us have been friends since our boys were little. We met during soccer and continued these friendships long after the boys went on to pursue different things. John's big brother was the boys coach in the early days, and until senior year, Braden and Tyler continued to play basketball together. Now they are all in college...John is in Hawaii, Braden and Tyler in Bellingham, but at different schools. I love these boys and their families and it has been such a joy to watch them grow into the fine young men they are becoming.
I think one of the best things about this night is that the "kids" are all part of it. How many 17,18 and 19 year olds (and older!) spend New Year's Eve with their parents, parent's friends and grandparents? Says a lot about the character of these youngsters!!!
There were lots of games...Mad Gab, Catch Phrase, Taboo, and a made up game too...which were all quite fun!
Lots of fabulous food...because we didn't get enough at Christmas!
A little round robin ping pong game...
and the countdown to midnight...some of us are thinking about celebrating an earlier time zone next year!!!
A wonderful way to kick off 2013!!!
How did I miss this post? What a great looking bunch of kids, and so glad to see you got in that last photo! Happy New Year Holly!
