I'm almost caught up on my sleep...almost.
I started watching all the coverage at 11:00 p.m. and watched all the way through until 6:30 a.m. This was viewing on four different channels and I must say that I thought Canadian TV had some of the best coverage. Remember, I thought they did a better job of the Olympics too. I digress... I got up at 10 the next morning and proceeded to watch it 3 more times on various channels. What is wrong with me????
I remember when Diana and Charles got married. I was at cheer leading camp at Central Washington University. No TV!!!!!!! Our dorm chaperone let us stay up all night listening to it on the radio. but it just wasn't the same !!! One of my neighbors at home had just gotten a VCR (the first in our neighborhood!) and recorded it for me so I could watch it later that week. I was mesmerized!! What a fairy tale!
Now we know that it wasn't a fairy tale at all, but I think that William and Kate are the real thing! They were so cute and looked so smitten with each other! Very real, very humble, very sweet!
Just goes to show that anyone can become a princess...it's not just a dream anymore!
Well, maybe it's still a dream for me!!
It was such a beautiful ceremony, wasn't it! I love the hymns especially Jerusalem...brought tears to my eyes.

PS...I enjoyed reading through your blog. Have a lovely weekend. :-)
Thanks for sharing I had not seen this picture. I did watch the end when they walked back out of the church and the kiss at the palace before going to work yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI have a tiara you can borrow!! I didn't think I was "into" watching the wedding, but when I turned it on Friday morning, I couldn't quit watching. I still haven't watched the whole thing. Maybe this week I can find it online.
ReplyDeleteIt was sweet. Sending prayers to the bride for a happy, civilized life!
