Just Like Wolves...the name of the band that my son Tyler is in. They had their debut on Saturday night!!!
He and his friend Derek have been playing together for awhile now. Jacob joined them a few months ago. Derek is an amazing musician, playing many instruments, writing songs, singing, etc. His parents have been great at providing space, tools and opportunities!! Thanks Erin and Larry!!!
He lives on a farm with a few barns, one in which the second floor has been converted into a music space.
This is where their first concert took place. They invited a few friends to do a test run...and let their parents come if they didn't embarrass them!!!
Hard to get god pics with the lighting, but......
I'll have to make sure to hit the next concert...hearing rave reviews! This Auntie better make sure to get there!
ReplyDeleteThat is SO COOL!!!!! You must be VERY PROUD of him! I love music, but I bet they don't play country :)!
ReplyDeleteI remember being in college and listening to my friends band play every weekend.... crazy ... now I am almost old enough to have a band player myself!! ha ha!
ReplyDeleteFun times for them!! I love their barn set up! Proud mom days indeed! =)
Boys and bands. My husbands family has had some bands, even had a cousin that played in a band that opened for Smashing Pumpkins. I love to see them having so much fun.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome. I am married to a musician and I can tell you he will play in a barn, on the street, in a club or church any day any time. He loves it and I bet your son and his friends have that love too :)

Love it!! I couldn't get Tyler to wear a hat on the picker when it was cold--but he'll wear one in a barn!!! Would love to hear them!!
ReplyDeleteWho's got a smile so big it can be seen from outer space?? MEEEE! I'm so proud of Tyler and cannot wait to hear the music. Even more reasons I need to be living back in WA!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photos and update!!!
Emily wanted to go so bad - but her mean parents grounded her for 2 weeks, so maybe next time!
ReplyDeletemy brother formed a band when he was 14 and has been in one or another ever since.
ReplyDeleteway cool lights too. ;)
