Start of with the juice of one lime and a seeded, sliced jalapeno pepper. I don't like spicy which is why I seed it. It still gives it a kick, it just doesn't knock you to your knees!!
Chop up half a head of cabbage and a few bunches of green onions, depending on how much you like onions!! I LOVE onions!! (Not a good Valentine's recipe!)
Chop up one bunch of cilantro and about 10-12 Roma tomatoes.

POUR on the garlic salt...this is what makes it yummy!!!! Mix it all together and there you have it!!! Great with tortilla chips, on nachos, on tacos...even all by itself!
I relied on my tried and true methods for picking the team I wanted to win yesterday (see March Madness), and before you say I chose after the game, go back and watch the beginning!!

I chose St. Louis because, and this is very scientific.....during the Star Spangled Banner they had the most players with their hands over their hearts and some were actually Singing!!!!!! Yes folks, that is how I chose the winning New Orleans Saints!!!! It's the little things in life that mean the most!!!
Great way to choose! I think the salsa sounds great. Just Jeff and I this year. We normally have a super bowl party but he is not quite up to par yet. I had to go with the colts because....I was born and raised in Indiana. My family would slap me silly. But I have to admit I rooted for both teams all the way through. My hubs thought I was a nut. But it was a good game and that is actually the only football game I watch anymore. So I have to hoot a lot to catch up for the year!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so yummy! I love a good salsa and thats one I need to try :)
ReplyDeleteThanks !
Stephanie
cardinals? are you funny?
ReplyDeleteI love your scientific method of picking a winner. It certainly makes sense to me!! And BTW, I'd be more than happy to share snow if you'd let me MOW (just once).
ReplyDeleteHi Holly,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE SALSA . . . and this one looks amazing!!! I have to say - I also love football . . . the combination seems perfect together!!
So glad you stopped by!! And - per your question . . . I will not be going to the "Farm Chicks" as a vendor this year . . . as my son has his 8th grade banquet that Sat. night and I wouldn't miss it for the world. It was the obvious choice - but still made me a bit sad as I loved being a part of it all . . . especially meeting customers like you!! :) All the best . . .liz
I can vouch for Holly's salsa. It is delicious!
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty similar to my recipe and we love it!
