Thought I'd give you all an update on the remodel. My home has this beautiful view of Mt. Baker, but my view rooms on the main floor were my laundry room and my dining room...which
we rarely used!
We opened up some walls between the LR and kitchen and the DR and the kitchen, pushed the LR wall out 5 feet , added windows and a fireplace. Wow, what a difference!!
It's been fascinating to watch all of what goes on with building, etc. I'm so thankful that our contracter, Ted Brouwer, was able to make our vision a reality.
Step by step we've made it to the finish line. Carpet will be in on Wednesday and then we can move back in!!! And out of our bedroom. I really must document the bedroom and give you a view of that mess!!!
I can't wait to decorate for Christmas and I'm thinking that since we won't be here for Thanksgiving, I can start on Christmas right away!! My family will be thrilled....NOT!!!
Oh My Golly Miss Holly! The remodel is SSOOOO BEAUTIFUL! I'm coveting your fireplace. All your good ideas came together so perfect. And now you will be able to see your gorgeous view. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteLove ya,
Meg
That my friend, looks amazing. Just amazing. A nice bonus that you will be 'in' by the holidays. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHolly,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great view you are going to have! I love the fire place! We have a nice big room for our Christmas gathering now but not near as large as yours. Hope you will enjoy yours as much as we do ours. Liking your new music!
I want to see the Christmas decor this year at Miss Holly's...
ReplyDeleteLove the new Christmas music... my guys would have a fit if I had it on this early.
stunning!!! i LOVE your home. one of those places that has the most warm feeling. makes me wanna have a sleepover party, or at least wrap up in a warm blanky and have a nap. not very many homes give me that feeling! can't wait to see it completed!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see pics of the bedroom after your description of it to me the other day :-) I'll have to walk down and check out the addition. After I get through this week, things will be slowing down a bit!(I hope!)
