Spring is finally here!! How do I know this? I did a little scouting around the yard and this is what I found. Lilacs aching to bloom!
More lilacs and the pond is full!
The Heather and the "white stuff" is beautiful!
The true sign of spring for me is the return of allergy season. Three or four days of misery while my allergy medication kicks in, but then it's all good!! Bring on the lawnmower and the rototiller! I'm almost ready for action!!!
Dearest Holly,
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better. I came by this in my reading today and was utterly blown away and thought it fit your spring theme a bit...
"WE--OR AT LEAST I--SHALL NOT BE ABLE TO ADORE GOD ON THE HIGHEST OCCASIONS IF WE HAVE LEARNED NO HABIT OF DOING SO ON THE LOWEST. AT BEST, OUR FAITH AND REASON WILL TELL US THAT HE IS ADORABLE, BUT WE SHALL NOT HAVE FOUND HIM SO...ANY PATCH OF SUNLIGHT IN A WOOD WILL SHOW YOU SOMETHING ABOUT THE SUN WHICH YOU COULD NEVER GET FROM READING BOOKS ON ASTRONOMY. THESE PURE AND SPONTANEOUS PLEASURES ARE "PATCHES OF GODLIGHT" IN THE WOODS OF EXPERIENCE." C. S. LEWIS I pray you find the godlight today.
All my love and high regard for your fabulous blog. I am now going to be making sure my nose is powdered when you start snapping pics. Love, Lynda
holly JOY...
